The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to those who are fraudulent in (weighing and measuring), 1 Who insist on being given full when they take from others, 2 but when they give by measurement or weight to others, they give them less. 3 Do such (men) not consider that they will be raised again 4 Unto an Awful Day, 5 The day when everyone will stand before the Lord Of The Creation. 6 No indeed; the Book of the libertines is in Sijjin; 7 How will you comprehend what Sijjin is? 8 It is a written book. 9 Woe on that Day unto the beliers 10 those who deny the Day of Judgement. 11 And none will deny it, except every transgressor, rebel. 12 When Our verses are recited to him, he says: 'Fictitious tales of the ancients' 13 No. In fact what they have been doing has rusted their hearts. 14 No indeed, on that Day they shall be veiled from their Lord. 15 Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire. 16 and be told: "This is the [very thing] to which you were wont to give the lie!" 17 No indeed! Verily, the deeds of the virtuous shall be in the record of the exalted ones. 18 But how will you comprehend what 'Illiyun is? 19 It is a comprehensively written Book (of records). 20 Those who are drawn near (to Allah) shall witness it. 21 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure 22 On couches, gazing, 23 You can trace on their faces the joy of their bliss. 24 They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed. 25 which have the fragrance of musk. This is the kind of place for which one should really aspire. 26 And the admixture of it is a water of Tasnim, 27 A fountain from which drink they who are drawn near (to Allah). 28 Lo! the guilty used to laugh at those who believed, 29 And whenever they passed by them, used to wink one to another (in mockery); 30 And when they returned to their own followers they returned exulting. 31 and when they saw them they said, 'Lo, these men are astray!' 32 But they were not Sent to be guardians over them! 33 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers, 34 seated upon their couches, they are looking around. 35 Surely the disbelievers are rewarded as they did. 36
