He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Harun, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
