The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 by the night swarming, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
