Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 as black camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
