Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
