Allah it is Who has made cattle for you so that you ride some of them and from some of them you derive food. 79 You may also obtain other benefits from them. You may ride them to seek whatever you need or be carried by them as ships carry you by sea. 80 And He shows you His signs; so which sign of Allah will you deny? 81 Have they never journeyed through the land and seen what was the end of those who have gone before them? They were stronger than themselves in might and left firmer traces upon the earth; yet, whatsoever they earned did not help them. 82 Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things): And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them (i.e. the punishment). 83 but when they saw Our punishment, they said, "We believe in God, the One God, and we reject the partners we used to associate with Him," 84 but believing after seeing Our punishment did not benefit them at all: this is the law of God to deal with His creatures, and thus the disbelievers were the losers. 85
