Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
