(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
