Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 Warn the men. 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
