Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 A rope made from palm fibre around her neck! 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
