3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
