▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 2 of 3
Everyone upon the earth will perish, 26 There remaineth but the Countenance of thy Lord of Might and Glory. 27 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 28 On Him depends all creatures in the heavens and on earth; [and] every day He manifests Himself in yet another [wondrous] way. 29 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 30 We shall surely aim, O both burdened. 31 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 32 O assembly of the jinn and the men! If you are able to pass through the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass through; you cannot pass through but with authority. 33 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 34 Against you shall be loosed a flame of fire, and molten brass; and you shall not be helped. 35 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 36 (On the Day of Judgment) when the heavens are rent asunder they will have a flowery color and flow like oil. 37 Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny? 38 On that day there will be no need to ask mankind or jinn about his sin 39 (We shall see) which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 40 The Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, sinners, etc.) will be known by their marks (black faces), and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet. 41 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 42 This will be the hell which those who are lost in sin [now] call a lie: 43 They shall keep going back and forth between it and the extremely hot boiling water. 44 Which of your Lord's powers will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 45
