Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
