Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
