Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 when they were seated over it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
