The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; 2 The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 It is You we worship and You we ask for help. 5 Guide us to the straight path - 6 The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray. 7

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
