We created man out of dry clay, from moulded mud, 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered, 28 When I have formed him and breathed My spirit into him, fall down in prostration before him," 29 All the angels prostrated before Adam 30 But Iblis (did it not); he refused to be with those who made obeisance. 31 [Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?" 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 He said: My Lord! then respite me till the time when they are raised. 36 (Allah) said: "Respite is granted thee 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 Except Thy servants from among them, the devoted ones. 40 Allah said: "Here is the path that leads straight to Me. 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! 43 It has seven gates; for every gate is of them a portion designated." 44
