۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 as the fruits [of their life on earth]; and honoured shall they be 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth), 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 Are we then not to die 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
