The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 and a few from later times. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 facing one another. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 and serried acacias, 29 And spreading shade, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and abundant fruit, 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
