The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
