The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
