The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful 1

All praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 2 Most Gracious, Most Merciful; 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 You alone we worship and from You alone we seek help (and may we always). 5 Keep us on the right path. 6 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
