1/4 Hizb 17
< random >
The chiefs of Pharaoh's people said, "This is most surely a skillful magician, 109 He intends to turn you out of your land. What counsel do you then give? 110 They said: put him and his brother off, and send unto the cities callers. 111 to bring together at the Pharaohs court all the skillful magicians. 112 And the wizards came to Pharaoh, saying: Surely there will be a reward for us if we are victors. 113 'Yes' he answered, 'and you will be among those near' 114 They said, 'Moses, wilt thou cast, or shall we be the casters?' 115 He [Musa (Moses)] said: "Throw you (first)." So when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people, and struck terror into them, and they displayed a great magic. 116 And We revealed to Moses: 'Cast thy staff!' And lo, it forthwith swallowed up their lying invention. 117 ۞ Thus truth was confirmed, and all that they did was made of no effect. 118 They were therefore defeated here and they turned back humiliated. 119 The sorcerers fell to the ground in homage, 120 They said, “We have accepted faith in the Lord Of The Creation.” 121 The Lord of Musa and Haroun. 122 But Pharaoh said: "You have come to accept belief in Him without my permission! This surely is a plot you have hatched to expel the people from the land. You will soon come to know. 123 "Surely, I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, then I will crucify you all." 124 They said: verily unto our Lord we are turning. 125 for thou takest vengeance on us only because we have come to believe in our Sustainer's messages as soon as they came to us. O our Sustainer! Shower us with patience in adversity, and make us die as men who have surrendered themselves unto Thee!" 126

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
