Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
