And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
