Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 He abandoned his people 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
