Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
