Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
