The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 that hide, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
