And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 and my chest will become constricted and my tongue will not be loosed (in my speech), therefore, send to Aaron. 13 Moreover, they keep a grave charge [pending] against me, and I fear that they will slay me." 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and earth, and what between them is, if you have faith.' 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33
