The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
