T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
