Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 and ease my task for me, 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and let him share my task, 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 and may remember You much. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
