The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 We destroyed the others 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
