Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
