We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 There is no changing of My word, nor am I unjust to My creatures." 29
