Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ O People! Fear your Lord. The catastrophe of the Last Hour shall be terrible indeed: 1 On that Day you will see every one that suckles shall forsake her suckling, and every carrier shall miscarry, and you shall see mankind drunk although they are not drunk; dreadful will be the punishment of Allah. 2 Some people argue about God without knowledge and follow every rebellious devil. 3 about which it has been decreed that whoever entrusts himself to it, him will it lead astray and guide towards the suffering of the blazing flame! 4 O mankind! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then verily! We have created you (i.e. Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge i.e. offspring of Adam), then from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood) then from a little lump of flesh, some formed and some unformed (miscarriage), that We may make (it) clear to you (i.e. to show you Our Power and Ability to do what We will). And We cause whom We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed term, then We bring you out as infants, then (give you growth) that you may reach your age of full strength. And among you there is he who dies (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the miserable old age, so that he knows nothing after having known. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down water (rain) on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth). 5 This is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He has power over all things 6 And surely, the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it, and certainly, Allah will resurrect those who are in the graves. 7 Yet there are some who contend about God without any knowledge or guidance or enlightening Book, 8 Turning away haughtily that he may lead (others) astray from the way of Allah; for him is disgrace in this world, and on the day of resurrection We will make him taste the punishment of burning: 9 [God will say],"This is the reward of your misdeeds. God is not unjust to His servants." 10
