The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Highly blessed is He, Who has sent down Al-Furqan, to His servant so that it may be a warner to all mankind: 1 He to Whom belongs the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth: Who has begotten no son: Who has no partner in His Sovereignty: Who created each and every thing and then ordained its destiny. 2 Yet they have taken, besides Him, deities who create nothing and are themselves created, and who have no power to harm, or benefit themselves and who control neither death, nor life, nor resurrection. 3 The unbelievers say, 'This is naught but a calumny he has forged, and other folk have helped him to it.' So they have committed wrong and falsehood. 4 And they say: fables of the ancients which he hath had written down, so they are dictated unto him, morning and evening. 5 Say: "It (this Quran) has been sent down by Him (Allah) (the Real Lord of the heavens and earth) Who knows the secret of the heavens and the earth. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." 6 And they say: "Why does this Messenger (Muhammad SAW) eat food, and walk about in the markets (like ourselves). Why is not an angel sent down to him to be a warner with him? 7 Or why has not at least a treasure been sent down for him or a garden given to him for (easy) sustenance?" And the wicked people say, "You are following a man bewitched." 8 See how they coin similitudes for thee, so that they are all astray and cannot find a road! 9
