The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26
