Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
