Blessed is He Who made the constellations in the heavens and made therein a lamp and a shining moon. 61 And He it is Who made the night and the day to follow each other for him who desires to be mindful or desires to be thankful. 62 The servants of the All-merciful are those who walk in the earth modestly and who, when the ignorant address them, say, 'Peace'; 63 And who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing, 64 Who say: "O our Lord, avert from us the torment of Hell: Its punishment is surely continuous. 65 verily, how evil an abode and a station!"; 66 And those who when they expend, are neither extravagant nor sparing, and it is a medium in-between. 67 Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. 68 Whose punishment will be doubled on the Day of Judgement, and he will live for ever in disgrace, 69 Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, 70 And whosoever repenteth and worketh righteously, then verily he repenteth toward Allah with a true repentance. 71 Those who witness no falsehood, and, if they pass by futility, they pass by it with honourable (avoidance); 72 who, when reminded of the revelations of their Lord, do not try to ignore them as though deaf and blind. Rather, they try to understand and think about them. 73 who say, "Lord, grant us joy in our wives and children and make us a model for the righteous." 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest rank for their patience. There they shall receive a greeting, and peace! 75 Abiding therein; excellent it is as an abode, and as a place to dwell. 76 SAY [unto those who believe]: "No weight or value would my Sustainer attach to you were it not for your faith [in Him]!" And say unto those who deny [the truth:] "You have indeed given the lie [to God's message,] and in time this [sin] will cleave unto you!" 77
