I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
