The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
