This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
