Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say: "This is a message tremendous: 67 Ye are therefrom averting. 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 "Only this has been inspired to me, that I am a plain warner." 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?' 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 for an appointed time". 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 He said: The Truth is, and the Truth I speak, 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
