Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is it timed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 until an appointed time? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
