Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 And other torments, like thereof, conjoined. 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 Did we laugh at them (for nothing), or our eyes fail to pick them out?" 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
