Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
