The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over, 1 and the day in splendour 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 Then as for him who giveths and feareth Him. 5 and believes in the truth of the ultimate good 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 We will make smooth for him the path for evil; 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 Indeed, Guidance is Ours, 12 and to Us belong the Next Life and the present. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 where none shall burn except the most wicked, 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 And is under no one's obligation to return his favour, 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
Almighty God's Truth.
