1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 but [since it will be too late,] they will turn upon one another, demanding of each other [to relieve them of the burden of their past sins]. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 and so we became deserving of the Word of our Lord that we shall be made to suffer chastisement. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 (They will be told), "You will certainly suffer the painful torment 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for Allah's favour, I should be one of those who have been mustered here. 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
